Sector Stories: Pride
Andrew Tess, Fire Island Pines June 2026
For a very special Pride edition of Sector Stories, we commissioned polaroid photographer Andrew Tess to explore intimacy in the Pines.
We’re all familiar with the fun, high-octane moments FIP has to offer. But what are the moments that remind us why we love this place so much? Running through the waves with your dog. The daily Pantry coffee runs. The spontaneous poolside conversations.
On June 26, we bring those stories in polaroid to SCHWET to laugh, gag, and of course, cry about everything the Pines means to us.
Andrew Tess
Andrew Tess is a New York photographer known for his Polaroids: instant portraits of celebrities and the city’s queer downtown, seen in Interview, PAPER, Dazed, and for MTV, Dior, and Spotify.
It All Comes
to SCHWET
On June 26, the work comes off the island and into Tribeca. SCHWET, a decadent bathhouse and members club, hosts the evening: a conversation and a viewing of everything Andrew uncovered, with select Polaroids enlarged and framed on the walls.
Andrew will be joined by editor Justin Moran and Sector founder Brian Tran to talk through the stories behind the frames. A reception follows, in the bathhouse.
And yes, it’s a bathhouse. No, not that kind of night. Come in your best look and keep it on.
